Venues for Hire
The Shire owns several venues which can be hired for functions or business purposes on a daily basis.
All venues are hired inclusive of tables and chairs. An application form must be submitted 3 days prior to the event for approval and the bond must be paid to secure the booking. If you are interested in hiring any of Council’s venues please contact the Shire Office on 9963 3000 or download a copy of the venue or equipment hire forms which can be found below on the relevant venue information.

Community Bus
The Shire owns a 25 seater community bus which is available for hire to those with the appropriate license.

Outdoor Picture Theatre
The Mount Magnet outdoor picture theatre is one of three remaining original outdoor cinemas in Western Australia. Located alongside the ANZAC Hall, the picture theatre is a perfect place to be entertained under a warm, summer night sky.
Instantly recognisable in Hepburn Street, the brightly coloured mural of movie characters was created by a visiting artist and community members. Another mural of a more local theme, wraps around the southern fence, facing onto the adjacent Park.
“Our Town” was painted by Mount Magnet District High School students and Meekatharra School of the Air students, who travelled in from station properties in the Shire. The mural reminds us of our special place in this vast outback.

Recreation Centre
This venue has a large commercial kitchen and is suitable for a maximum of 25 people. The Recreation Centre is situated next to the Town Oval.

Anzac Hall
Anzac Hall is situated on the corner of Hepburn and Naughton Street, next to the Anzac Memorial Garden. This is a large venue which can accommodate approximately 150 – 200 people.
This venue includes exhibition space with railings, a stage and a very large screen which drops down from the stage as well as a kitchen with a serving hatch.
The venue can be hired for functions or business purposes on a daily basis and includes tables, chairs and a large urn.
