More than 100 of the world’s best off-road four-wheel drive, motorbike and quad bike drivers will begin the 21st annual Australasian Safari in Kalgoorlie on Saturday 23 August 2008.

Considered the Paris to Dakar of the Southern Hemisphere, the event is renowned as one of the toughest and most challenging motoring events in the world.

Covering 3300km in seven days, the gruelling off-road rally event will travel across the WA outback from Kalgoorlie to Meekatharra, Mt Magnet and Geraldton before finishing in Perth at Forrest Chase on Saturday 30 August.

Four-wheel drive and Moto enthusiasts can follow the Safari and experience the exhilaration of competitive off-road rallying without the pressure by joining the fully-guided Adventure Tour component of the event.

General spectators can also get up close and taste the adventure at spectator points and static displays throughout the event.
