The Youth Centre is located at the RTC on the corner of Naughton and Attwood Streets.The centre is a place of children of all ages to come and hang out after school and on holidays. In the centre there are is the latest computer games, pool table, air hockey, arts and crafts, movies and much much more!
The Shire also has several playgrounds and a skate park for recreation. The golf course is located alongside Watson Street and there is a map of the course at the club house. The Shire’s Physical Activity Officer runs a variety of programs depending on the season- including cricket, badminton, football and walking. Outdoor Cinema
The Mount Magnet Outdoor cinema is one of three remaining original outdoor cinemas in Western Australia.
The outdoor cinema is the perfect place to relax and be entertained under the warm summer night skies.
Located on Hepburn St adjacent to ANZAC Hall the cinema is unmissible with the unique mural facing the main street. Movies will run over the summer months and schedules are available from the Shire Office.
Swimming Pool
The Mt Magnet Memorial swimming pool is located at the Southern end of town on the main street, Hepburn St. The centre includes a 25m pool and two toddlers pools for the little ones. BBQ facilities are available and entry is free making it a great place to spend time and cool off!
Basic Rules of the Pool
1. All children under the age of 10 years must be accommpanied by an adult
2. Swimmers must shower before entering the pool.
The Swimming Pool is currently closed for the winter season and will re-open mid October 2008
