You may know a community member who you would like to nominate for Mount Magnet's Citizen of the Year Award or Young Citizen of the Year Award for 2009. These are presented at our Australia Day celebrations each year and recognise someone from our local community who has contributed positively to Mount Magnet. Nominations close on the 10th of December.

In order to raise funds for those affected by the Victorian Bushfires, the Shire is holding a softball match and sausage sizzle at the oval on Saturday 21st February. 

 

We'll also have a raffle as well, with prizes donated by local businesses.  All proceeds will go to the Australian Red Cross together with any donation from council.

More than 100 of the world’s best off-road four-wheel drive, motorbike and quad bike drivers will begin the 21st annual Australasian Safari in Kalgoorlie on Saturday 23 August 2008.
